What do I choose if I am given the option of £ or € at an ATM?

When withdrawing money from an ATM, you are always advised to withdraw in the local currency. In the UK withdraw in £, in the Eurozone in €, in the US in $. If you withdraw in anything other than the local currency, the ATM vendor will determine what the foreign exchange conversion rate is and you may be considerably overcharged.
